This Horizon Europe and SERI initiative brings together 13 partners to explore the remarkable potential of aquatic extremophiles for sustainable industrial innovation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">About EXPLORA:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u2022 Objective: Uncover bioactive compounds for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, and recycling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u2022 Focus Areas: The acidic Rio Tinto in Spain and the Antarctic\u2019s psychrophilic regions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u2022 Duration: 4 years (2024\u20132028).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u2022 Budget: \u20ac5 million.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">UMH\u2019s Role in EXPLORA:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">At UMH, we are proud to lead Work Package 5, focused on the validation of bioactive compounds identified during the project.
