Yesterday, at IDiBE we welcomed our External Advisory Board (EAB) to evaluate our strategic lines and their scientific impact.<\/p>\n
Our EAB is composed of internationally renowned researchers, including Banafsh\u00e9 Larijani (Director of the Centre for Therapeutic Innovation at the University of Bath), Mabel Loza (Director of CiMUS \u2014 Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases \u2014 and of the K\u00e6rtor Foundation), Juliette Legler (Head of the Division of Toxicology at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences, Utrecht University), and Eduard Montanya (Scientific Director of CIBERDEM). We send our warm regards to Banafsh\u00e9, who had to excuse herself, despite already being in Spain, due to a personal loss.<\/p>\n
During the day, IDiBE\u2019s research groups presented some of their most innovative projects in areas such as molecular oncology, sensory neurobiology, and the valorization of agricultural by-products for advanced applications. The visit also included an institutional meeting with \u00c1ngel Antonio Carbonell Barrachina, Vice-Rector for Research and Knowledge Transfer, to demonstrate Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University\u2019s commitment to health research.<\/p>\n
IDiBE\u2019s director, Antonio Ferrer Montiel, emphasized the importance of the visit: \u201cHaving a high-level external evaluation is essential to ensure scientific excellence and to continue aligning our goals with major societal and biomedical challenges. Additionally, one of our objectives is to obtain the Mar\u00eda de Maeztu Seal of Excellence, and this kind of guidance can be key to achieving it.\u201d<\/p>\n
The EAB\u2019s conclusions will serve as a foundation to strengthen the institute\u2019s strategic plan and reinforce its role as a benchmark in health biotechnology both in Spain and internationally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
