Last week we installed new equipment at IDiBE – UMH: Cytation 1, acquired with the project awarded by the International Center for Research on Aging (ICAR) of the Research Group on Design and Development of Bioactive Molecules. Igor Gak from Agilent Technologies came for this installation and to explain the improvements that this equipment presents. With it we can read the fluorescence intensity, absorbance and acquire fluorescence images in cell culture plates in a rapid and automated manner.

In addition, the software allows better analysis of the acquired fluorescence images, thanks to the wide range of parameters and settings that can be modified. It also helped us design new protocols for taking measurements at different times and with different approaches in the Z axis for 3D cultures.
