Yesterday we had the honour of receiving at our facilities the people who are working on the Chitinmetics project, funded by the Public-Private Collaboration call of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Project CPP2022-009795).
Our objective is to valorise chitosan from insects for new uses in cosmetics. To do this, we have the experience, knowledge and know-how of three companies (FINADERM, Tebrio, insect industry leaders and PFP Termopolimeros), a technology centre (AIMPLAS – Instituto Tecnológico del Plástico), a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence (Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2)) and the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, through the IDiBE – UMH.
The project is progressing well scientifically and we believe that we will achieve all the objectives set and that we can incorporate this material due to its advantageous properties in different aspects. We are looking forward to telling you more!
