This week, the 20th Annual Congress of the Spanish Society of Obesity (SEEDO – Spanish Society for the Study of Obesity) is taking place in Santiago de Compostela. The organizers have emphasized that excess weight remains one of the most pressing global health issues.
The congress has been designed with the participation of prominent figures from both the academic and clinical fields, including representatives from pharmaceutical companies working in the area of obesity.
Paloma Alonso Magdalena, a researcher at IDiBE – UMH, will take part in a roundtable discussion tomorrow, November 28, at 4:15 PM in the Empar Lurbe Room, titled “Dance of Dragons: The Other Culprits of Obesity”, focusing on the effects of endocrine disruptors.
