Nature Reviews Endocrinology has published a new consensus statement entitled “Consensus on the key characteristics of metabolism disruptors”, presenting the logic behind the identification of metabolism disruptors’ key characteristics, supported by evidence, and illustrating their application using examples of chemical, infectious, and physical agents. The framework demonstrates how these characteristics can organize and utilize mechanistic data to identify metabolism disruptors effectively.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the authors Michele A. La Merrill, Martyn T. Smith, Cliona M. McHale, Jerrold J. Heindel, Ella Atlas, Matthew C. Cave, David Collier, Kathryn Z. Guyton, Suneil Koliwad, Angel Nadal, Christopher J. Rhodes, Robert M. Sargis, Lauren Zeise and Bruce Blumberg on their outstanding new publication addressing the critical and complex issue of metabolism disruptors.
