As part of our outreach efforts, yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming students from IES José Martínez Ruiz “Azorín” in Yecla (Murcia) to IDiBE – UMH.
We wanted to showcase the work we do in healthcare biotechnology. To do so, after a warm welcome from Antonio Ferrer Montiel, we introduced them to some of our cutting-edge equipment, such as a bioprinter and an FESEM microscope. We also presented some of the projects we are working on, including polymers, biosensors, and virology, thanks to contributions from Maria Del Mar Ortega-Villaizan Romo, Pedro Valentín Badía Hernández, Rocío Díaz Puertas, and others.
These activities aim to both share our work and inspire scientific vocations among the younger generation. We would also like to congratulate the teachers of IES José Martínez Ruiz “Azorín” in Yecla for their initiative in participating in this activity.
