We continue with the IDiBE – UMH calendar!
We start February with an image by Irene Pomares Bri, showing human adipocytes (fat-storing cells) from the SGBS cell line. The triglyceride vesicles are marked in green using the Adipored probe, while the nuclei are stained blue with the Hoechst probe.
Cultured adipocytes are used to study the alterations that occur in this tissue in diseases such as obesity, as well as to analyze the effects of compounds that may reduce fat accumulation.
