On February 6th and 7th, the 5th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF PHD STUDENTS (CAIED_UMH) of the Miguel Hernández University will be held online. This event will feature the participation of 17 predoctoral researchers from the Biotechnology in Health program, developed at IDiBE – UMH, with 10 oral presentations and 7 posters.
Presentations on the first day include:

🔹 Raúl Bonet García – Evaluation of the Antiviral Activity of Marine Invertebrate Extracts Against Human and Fish Viruses
🔹 Paula de Juan Maciá – Interaction between adipocytes and colon tumor cells: tumor remodeling and drug resistance
🔹 Marta Fernández Oliver – In vitro evaluation of digestion and intestinal permeability of encapsulated olive leaf extract formulations
🔹 Ainhoa Gómez Quintanilla – Microalgae-based production of an oral vaccine for viral trout diseases
🔹 Adrián López Murcia – Application of plasmid constructs encoding antiviral proteins as therapeutics against viral infections in salmonid aquaculture
🔹 Jose Ramon Martinez Guillen – Investigating the industrial potential of a waste material: Scaling up aqueous extraction of polyphenols from rice straw
🔹 Noelia Gómez Sánchez – Spread of antimicrobial resistance through aerosols in clinical environments
On the second day, the following researchers will present:

Additionally, during breaks, poster presentations by Carlos Coll Diez, Celia García Quintanilla, Raúl Martínez Baquero, Jose Marcos Berna Belmonte, Yeray Kevin Cerpa Damas, and María López will be showcased in video format.
