On March 26, the reception event for the latest models of Standard BioTools’ mass cytometry and high-resolution imaging platforms took place. These cutting-edge systems, CyTOF XT and Hyperion XTi, will enhance the technological capabilities of IDiBE. The new models feature multiple improvements, including workflow automation, higher acquisition speed, and enhanced spatial resolution of 1 µm. Additionally, this model incorporates three imaging modes that optimize system performance and allow for adaptation to different experimental needs.

This unique equipment will enable the simultaneous analysis of multiple biomarkers, facilitating disease characterization and the search for personalized treatments.

The reception committee was composed of Ángel Carbonell Barrachina, Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer; Francisca Moya García, Head of the Internal Control Service; and Antonio Ferrer Montiel, Director of IDiBE, who signed the reception report. Additionally, Sara Manzanares Estreder attended on behalf of Izasa Scientific, the company distributing the equipment.

This acquisition was made possible through grant EQC2021-007485-P, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033) and the European Union through NextGenerationEU/PRTR funds.
