Dr. Antonio Ferrer Montiel, President of the Spanish Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SEBBM) and Director of our institute, officially opened the 3rd Severo Ochoa Conference, held on June 26–27, 2025, at Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura in Gijón.
Held under the title “Epigenetics, Aging and Cancer,” this prestigious event is organized by SEBBM in collaboration with the Carmen and Severo Ochoa Foundation. It brings together leading national and international researchers to discuss the most recent advances in the fields of epigenetics, aging, and cancer.
Dr. Ferrer Montiel’s role in inaugurating the conference reflects both his institutional leadership and the continued scientific impact of IDiBE in key areas of biomedical research.
