In this work, the eight compounds that make up vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols) are analyzed through molecular dynamics, key molecules due to their powerful antioxidant role and their impact on human health.
The study reveals how these biomolecules insert into membranes, their orientation, mobility, and lack of aggregation, providing new evidence as to why α-tocopherol is nature’s preferred form as an essential antioxidant.
