🎗️ World Day Against Pain 2025

On the occasion of the World Day Against Pain, celebrated every October 17 since 2004 by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), the European Pain Federation (EFIC), and the World Health Organization (WHO), a special round table has been organized as part of the Neuroscience Institute (IN) seminar sessions.
The event will bring together three leading researchers in the field of pain, including our director, Antonio Ferrer Montiel, from the Institute for Research, Development and Innovation in Healthcare Biotechnology of Elche (IDiBE-UMH).
Thanks to their diverse professional backgrounds, the speakers will offer a comprehensive perspective on pain research — from basic science to translational and industrial applications — highlighting current advances and challenges in this area.
👩🔬👨🔬 This session is especially aimed at pre-doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, encouraging them to actively participate by asking questions, sharing ideas, and reflecting on their future career paths in the field of pain neuroscience and therapeutic innovation.
💬 To encourage interaction, participants will be able to submit live or anonymous questions via the SLIDO app by scanning the QR code displayed during the session.
📜 A certificate of participation will be issued as proof of attendance for this training activity. To receive it, attendees must sign the attendance sheet at the entrance of the seminar room, indicating their full name.
