💡 Open Innovation for Better Health
Our center actively participated in the 4th edition of the Provincial Forum on Open Innovation in Health “Alicante Conexión Salud”, a leading event that brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, and biotech companies from across the Valencian Community.
Organized by the Innovation Area of the Fisabio Foundation, IDiBE, and other key institutions in the regional health ecosystem, this forum has become a benchmark meeting point where collaboration and knowledge transfer drive the development of innovative solutions that improve people’s lives.
🧬 This year, our researchers Lucía Pérez Arévalo and María Fuentes (IDiBE–FISABIO) presented their research lines focused on:
-
The design of a human innervated skin prototype for studying neuropathic pain and skin diseases.
-
The identification and characterization of new CDK4 inhibitors as potential therapies for glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer.
Our InnoAgents from the Valencian Institute for Competitiveness and Innovation (IVACE +i), Anabel García Heredia and Francisco Martínez Hernández, also took an active role in the event — with Francisco moderating the session dedicated to collaborative R&D projects.
We would like to thank the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH), represented by Ángel Antonio Carbonell Barrachina, as well as the Servicio de Transferencia de Conocimiento UMH, represented by David Úbeda González and Begoña García Jaén, for their support and participation.
🤝 The involvement of IDiBE and the Miguel Hernández University of Elche in this forum reaffirms our commitment to interinstitutional collaboration and our belief in open innovation as a key driver of scientific, technological, and social progress in the field of health.
