February begins and at IDiBE we do it with the image of our calendar for this month: we can see PMVEMA-Ac nanofibers loaded with carmustine, which is an alkylating antineoplastic. The encapsulated drug is released gradually in the treatment of glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive brain tumors.
The image has been obtained thanks to the scanning electron microscopy technique. Want to know more about her? You can do it at this link.
Thanks to the work of Pedro Valentín Badía Hernández and Ricardo Mallavia Marin and the financing of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
