On December 13, the Institute of Bioengineering has organized the event “DivulgaNobel 2024”, aimed at exploring the science behind this year’s Nobel Prizes in Medicine, Chemistry, and Physics.
The event will take place in the Arenals building’s lecture hall at Miguel Hernández University, starting at 10:00 a.m. The Nobel Prize in Medicine will be presented by María Rosa Ponce, the Nobel in Physics by Jorge Bravo-Abad, and the Nobel in Chemistry by our colleague Gregorio Fernández Ballester. His lecture, titled “Protein structure from sequence: A dream come true”, will focus on the work of scientists David Baker, Demis Hassabis, and John Jumper.
