Thanks to the support of Caja Rural Central (CRC), the Bioactive Compounds research group at the Institute for Research, Development and Innovation in Health Biotechnology of Elche (IDiBE-UMH) has incorporated new scientific equipment that will allow the laboratory to double its experimental capacity.
The funding provided has enabled the acquisition of a laminar flow cabinet and a cell incubator, two essential pieces of equipment for handling cells under sterile conditions and with precise control of temperature and CO₂. These tools are fundamental for studying bioactive compounds with therapeutic potential and for advancing research projects in health and biotechnology.
Until now, the group had limited resources for cell culture work, which slowed down experiments and required sequential planning. With the addition of the new cabinet and incubator, the group will be able to perform more experiments simultaneously, reduce waiting times, and increase scientific productivity.
“This equipment allows us to work more efficiently and accelerate progress in our research,” the research team highlights.
The support from Caja Rural Central reinforces its commitment to research, innovation, and regional development, contributing to ensuring that the knowledge generated at IDiBE has a real impact on society.
IDiBE sincerely thanks CRC for its collaboration and support — both are essential to continue advancing research in health biotechnology at our institution.
