Last week we enjoyed a new and exciting edition of IDiBECuenta, the IDiBE’s science outreach activity designed to bring the institute’s research closer to the entire UMH community… and to do so in a clear, engaging, and very approachable way!
On this occasion, researchers Antonio Ferrer Montiel, Asia Fernández Carvajal, Gregorio Fernández Ballester, and Isabel Devesa Giner took us on a journey through the fascinating work carried out by the Peripheral Neuropathies Unit. Among other topics, we explored issues as relevant as migraine, chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain, and how computational tools are helping us better understand these pathologies and move toward new solutions.
The session was hosted by María del Mar Ortega-Villaizán Romo, researcher and Chair of the Outreach Committee, and featured an enthusiastic and engaged audience whose questions, reflections, and scientific curiosity enriched the conversation.
As is tradition, IDiBECuenta combined rigor and fun: a friendly roundtable, a relaxed atmosphere for networking over tapas, and a lively Kahoot! that put the attendees’ knowledge (and competitive spirit) to the test.
Thank you to everyone who took part and continues to strengthen the scientific culture at IDiBE–UMH.
