On December 16, 2025, IDiBE opened the doors of its laboratories to welcome students from the Specialization Course in Cell Culture, part of the Higher Vocational Training programme at IES Leonardo Da Vinci 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬, for a day dedicated to discovering how science is carried out from the inside.

During the visit, students learned first-hand what cell cultures are, how they are used, and why they are a key tool in biomedical research 🧠💡. Touring the facilities helped them understand how laboratory work contributes to advances in disease research and the development of new therapies.

Researchers and technical staff at IDiBE explained, in a clear and approachable way, what the day-to-day work in a research institute looks like, the use of specialized equipment ⚙️🧪, and the importance of teamwork in real scientific projects. The visit also provided an opportunity to ask questions and learn about career opportunities in the field of biotechnology and biosanitary research 🚀.

Through initiatives like this, IDiBE reinforces its commitment to science outreach and education 📢, fostering closer links between research and training and helping to inspire scientific vocations at a key stage in students’ academic and professional development 🌱.
