Spectropolarimeter dichrograph Jasco J-180

Circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy is a technique used to analyse the secondary structure of optically active substances, such as proteins, and to distinguish between different structural elements, such as alpha helices, beta sheets and random coils. It measures the difference in absorption of left and right circularly polarised light (measured in molar ellipticity in the range from the far UV -185-250 nm to the IR) and provides information on the structure and stability of molecules.

Services offered:
Circular dichroism spectroscopy of samples in solution.
Thermal and stability studies of samples in solution.
