DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter)

A TA Instruments nano DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter) is specially designed for the study of conformational transitions of biomolecules in solution (proteins, nucleic acids, etc.) induced by temperature increase. The calorimetric cell has a volume of 0.3 mL. The equipment can be used either manually (sample loading and cleaning) or using a robotic system when the analysis of a large number of samples is required. Samples in solution (aqueous or not) can be subjected to temperature ramps of up to 2°C per minute in the range 2 – 130°C under an external pressure of up to 6 atm.

The equipment has been acquired thanks to an action co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Operational Programme of the Valencian Community 2014-2020 (PROJECT: IDIFEDER2018/020).
