DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter)

A nano DSC differential scanning calorimeter (TA Instruments), specifically designed for studying conformational transitions of biomolecules in solution (proteins, nucleic acids, etc) induced by temperature increases, is available. The calorimetric cell has a volumen of 0.3 mL. The equipment can be used either manually (sample loading and cleaning) or using a robotic system when analyzing a large number of samples is required. Samples in solution (aqueous or not) can be subjected to temperature ramps of up to 2ºC per minute in the range of 2 – 130ºC under an external pressure of up to 6 atm.

 

The equipment has been acquired thanks to an action co-financed by the European Union through the Operational Program of the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) of the Valencian Community 2014-2020 (PROJECT: IDIFEDER2018/020).
